BUST YOUR BUBBLE
you've been sold into slavery and they tell you you're free
bribed to fake the happiness that they want to see
working for a wage in air-conditioned hell,
you run to give it back when you hear the lunchtime bell
speed back from work so you can watch t.v.
a little more pay a little more poverty
because there's nothing to do but attend the parade
see what you get for the sacrifice you made
of your life; another number on the charts and the graphs
calculating how little they can give you, how long you will last
as the routines grind you down to a dust
do you wonder when this civilized bubble will bust?
iraq war another in a long list of lies
good morning little children time to open your eyes
and see what the system has done to your mind
wrapped you in flags and made sure you were blind
when they sent another mother's son to go get killed in the sand
they didn't think he'd end up alive and fucking taking a stand
against all the lies that their oil wars need
against the silence and the apathy the system breeds
and the rich and the powerful are taken aback
to be deprived of such a tasty snack
but we're human beings you can't have us for dinner
and soon we're gonna make all the losers the winners
