Executive Officers--Biography
Ms. Whitman came to EBay, Inc. after a successful career at Hasbro Toy Company. She has gained experience from several other well-known companies such as Disney, Keds, and Stride Rite. She has received many awards such as Time magazine's top 100 most influential people in the world and Fortune magazine's most powerful business people list in the world in 2004 and 2005. Her experience in brand building and knowledge of consumer technology has helped EBay reshape the way commerce takes place around the world. She is one of the company's most valuable treasures. Rajiv Dutta began his career with EBay in 1998 as finance director where he successfully established EBay’s firm infrastructure and processes systems. Today, as Chief Financial Officer he oversees financial planning, acquisitions, investor relations, and finance support for all operations in the company. Mr. Dutta’s career took him too many well-known companies in India before he came to EBay, Inc. Maynard Webb joined the company in 1999 as president of EBay Technologies. Mr. Webb is credited with making EBay.com one of the most sophisticated and technological advanced websites in the world. Today, as Chief Operating Officer Mr. Webb’s role is to coordinate business strategies throughout the company and lead long-term strategic planning. Before joining EBay he was Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of Gateway, Inc and also worked for IBM and Quantum.
