A story from the founder: I had a friend who took her dog to the veterinarian because of an injury. They asked her how she was going to pay, cash or credit? She told them that she had neither. Her dog was denied treatment because she had no way to pay. We would like to see all pets have the right to care and treatment when needed no matter what the expense is. Your donations would help
to prevent situations like the one above.
We would like to alleviate animal suffering and raise public consciousness towards giving the respect to these animals that they so need and deserve. We want to raise public awareness about the laws that protect the rights of these precious animals. We want to promote action towards conditions that compromise the well being of animals like puppy mills for example.
We will inform, inspire and educate the public. We will listen to your animals needs. Furthermore, our thrift store will be the gathering place for the presented information.
Like us, we always encourage you to sponsor, rescue, adopt, foster or volunteer at any local non profit organization. Be apart of the circle of rescue and help us help a pet.
Ways to Sponsor: Donate money, used items, pet food, pet supplies to any non profit organization benefiting animals. It is also helpful to link to any non profit organization on your website, in your newspaper or at a pet agency, etc.
Ways to Rescue: Donate to organizations that help rescue pets when disaster occurs. When Katrina happened there were many rescue operations that took place to rescue the animals. Your time, energy and efforts could save a life.
Ways to Adopt:Please spread the word and tell your friends to adopt pets instead of buying them. There are so many unfortunate pets that need a home and someone to love them. Go to your nearest adoption agency and give a pet a chance for that may be their only chance to have a good life. Adopting dogs rather than buying them will save thousands of dogs from being euthanized in shelters every day. A dog is killed approximately every 9 seconds.

Ways to Foster a pet: Donate time and energy to charities that already foster pets for they are in much need of help, food and supplies. Sometimes shelters get too full and pets are turned away. Become a foster parent so that a pet might have a living chance until they find a home of their own. Shelter those pets who need a companion.
Ways to Volunteer: Donate time to any pet shelter, non profit organization, charity or adoption agency. Many of these places do not have enough volunteers and are in desperate need of extra help. There is a local pet shelter nearby that is always in dire need of someone to walk the dogs. Ask around, see if you can help! If you are a pet lover, please don't hesitate to help the pets that don't have a choice but are given a second chance.
