Lottie told the family they had migrated west and claimed
to be white so they could find jobs. Next to them is her cousin Lucius
POWHATTEN Little and then his mother Martha Ann Wright. Martha could be the sister to Lottie's
father's MOM, Nancy Catherine Wright. Our family strongly believes that the
Wright family of Virginia and the South Carolina Little families moved into Kentucky and were both
of Cherokee descent. The Littles fought in the Revolutionary War as
"white". |
