Big Oil's Most Wanted: Exxon Mobil (7/26/2006)
A brief look at a major player in the oil business:

Exxon Mobil, one of the world's largest oil companies, is also one of the worst when it comes to awareness for the environment. They still fail to acknowledge that global warming as a problem and say that it could be naturally. These statements have a disturbing resemblance to cigarette companies failure to admit to nicotine's addictive properties. The questions remains, can we kick our addiction to oil? Exxon Mobil which could help us kick the habit refuses to take responsibility for global warming and refuses to try to develop alternative energy.
"As one of the world's most profitable companies, ExxonMobil has the power to move the world toward a more sustainable energy future. Instead, ExxonMobil has acted consistently to move our country backward on energy policy by opposing efforts to stop global warming, lobbying to drill in America's most pristine wilderness areas, and failing to promote renewable energy and fuel efficiency." - http://www.exxposeexxon.com/
Not only is Exxon Mobil lobbying to destroy
the wilderness and destroy the atmosphere, Exxon Mobil also is recording record
profits: more than $36 Billion in 2005. Exxon Mobil refuses to pay-back the
promised $4 billion worth of damage after the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill. They fund
fake science to make global warming seem like it isn't a problem among other
things. To find out more please visit
