Gone too soon. For Striker. So your death was not in vain
Mood:  sad
Topic: important information
We are writing about our tragic loss of our 7 month old puppy, Striker, so that other pet owners don't have to go through the heartache we have experienced since December 2, 2006 On that horrific day, Striker was in the home office with me. Suddenly he was screaming. He had licked the paper shredder causing the automatic eye to start the machine. In his struggle to release himself from it, he tore a major portion of his tongue from his mouth. I was in shock at the amount of blood loss and tried desparately to stop the flow while trying to get help from anyone. My daughter rushed home, not knowing the details, and was confronted by the carnage as well. We loaded him and me into the back of her truck and rushed to the local veterinary emergency hospital. After they assessed the extent of the damage, we were told that there was no hope for repairing the injury. We had to make the heartwrenching decision to euthanize our beautiful boy. We beg everyone who has a paper shredder in their home to PLEASE CARE FOR YOUR PETS. We are not asking you to get rid of your shredders but to follow a few simple rules. ~~DON'T LEAVE YOUR SHREDDER ON AUTOMATIC ~~DON'T LET YOUR PETS NEAR YOUR SHREDDERS ~~UNPLUG YOUR SHREDDER WHEN NOT IN USE
