Oceanfront Property in PEI

The 2 oceans surrounding Prince Edward Island are the Gulf of St Lawrence, and the Northumberland Strait.

The Gulf of St Lawrence is the huge body of water from North Cape, PEI to East Point, PEI. The only part of the Gulf of St Lawrence that doesn't have oceanfront properties to be available to investors are in the National Park areas. The National Park is a narrow wooded sliver of land stretching just 40 kilometres along the northern coast of Prince Edward Island and is owned by the Federal Government of Canada with headquarters in the nations capital of Ottawa, Ontario. Regions such as Cavendish, North Rustico, Brackley Beach, Stanhope, Dalvay, are part of this National Park and, as such, are not oceanfront properties that can be purchased by investors. However, the remaining part of the Gulf of St Lawrence region along the North side of PEI are available to be acquired. Starting from the Western part of the Gulf of St Lawrence there are tremendous oceanfront real estate in places such as Kildare Capes, Seaview, Park Corner, Point DesRoche, and Savage Harbour. These waterfront properties are simply the best that PEI Real Estate has to offer, they are white sand ocean beaches with low banks and beautiful sand dunes.

The next area of oceanfront properties, apart from the National Park, are in the St Peters region just east of the Greenwich Nationl Park. Cable Head beaches are just superb with low banks, white sand ocean beaches, and they are very near the Greenwich National Park, and Crowbush Golf Course. Further east are such places as Goose River, Monticello, Naufrage, St Margarets, Hermanville, North Lake, the "Tuna Capital Of The World",and along the waterfront properties to East Point.

The Northumberland Strait extends on 3 sides of PEI. It is on the West, South, and East side of Prince Edward Island. There are no National Parks in this area so investors can purchase oceanfront properties to their good fortune. The Northumberland Strait waterfront properties are excellent investments. Many of them have a view of Nova Scotia in the distance such as in Murray Harbour, Wood Islands, High Bank, Cape Bear (Location of the Cape Bear Lighhouse & Marconi Station that received the distress signal from the Titanic as she sank in 1912), Little Sands, White Sands, Point Prim, Rice Point, Beach Point, etc. some of the lowest priced oceanfront real estate is found in the southeastern part of the Northumberland Strait.

The Northumberland Strait on the East side of PEI also has wonderful waterfront properites for sale on the PEI Real Estate market. Places such as Panmure Island, Spry Point, Anandale, Howe Point, Souris, and Fortune have exceptional oceanfront lots for sale, and are excellent waterfront properties to build that special cottage or chalet. The East coast of PEI also has a region of 7 to 9 mile white sand ocean beach that is as good as any ocean beach on PEI. In this region are 2 beautiful Provincial Parks: Red Point Provincial Park, and Basin Head Provincial Park, and well as wonderful Golfing. PEI Real Estate has some very scenic propertites in the South Lake area of Eastern PEI. These PEI Real Estate properties front on the beautiful South Lake and one can canoe or kayak across South Lake to the gorgeous high sand dunes, then on to the most virgin white sand ocean beaches in PEI.

Anne Of Green Gables

Prince Edward Island is famous for its author Lucy Maud Montgomery who wrote "Anne of Green Gables", a story about a 12 year old orphan. Montgomery was born on the North part of PEI, and raised in the beautiful area of Cavendish. Many tourist attractions in PEI have been made famous including the Green Gables farmhouse from which Lucy Maud Montgomery drew her inspiration to write the brillant novel.
