The "big break," every DJ dreams of the one moment that will take them out of the minors and into the majors. This is the moment, so make like Eminem in "8 Mile" and put together the mix tape(err, cd rather) that will make our ears wiggle and melt the floor. Your mission is simple, create a 30 minute mix of your favorite party music and put it in the post.
Mark Ronson will pick from the finalists the one mix that he deems worthy and you will be on your way to Miami to kick off Mark Ronson's 2006 Rockstar Tour. Oh yeah, and you will be going on tour with Ronson as the opening DJ for his Spring 2006 tour plus win a spectacular gear set-up from Stanton and various other goodies from our sponsors.

Mark Ronson made his name as one of New York most respected club DJs. From there, heavy hitters like P. Diddy, D’Angelo, Mos Def, Jay-Z, Britney Spears and many more took notice and made sure Mark was on the turntables when it was time to party. Not satisfied just playing other peoples hit records, Mark decided to produce his own. With his first project, Nikka Costa’s “Everybody Got Their Something” the industry stood up and took notice. It wasn’t long before Elektra Records signed Mark to a solo deal, and then released his critically acclaimed debut album “Here Comes The Fuzz.” It was here that the talented producer showcased his uncanny ability to cross musical genres, working with the likes of Jack White, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Q-Tip and Mos Def. The album also spawned the worldwide hit single “Ooh Wee” featuring Ghostface and Nate Dogg.
As Mark’s career continues to flourish as both a DJ and a producer, his talents are in high demand around the world. Having recently completed production work with Jamiraquai, Air, and Jay-Z his stock behind the boards has never been higher. Mark’s production work with Sean Paul helped win the talented performer a Grammy in 2004. This has not meant a slowdown on the DJ front where Mark has been taking his skills worldwide proving his reputation is more than deserved.
Never one to stop broadening his horizons, Mark formed Allido Records in 2004 with his longtime manager Rich Kleiman, an accomplished entrepreneur in his own right. Their first signing, Rhymefest, will be releasing his debut album later this year in a joint venture with J Records. Mark has his own solo album dropping in 2005 as well, this time on Perfecto/Thrive Records.
