Woody, the Yorkshire Terrior is living like a king. He has a bunch of cute little outfits and a bed in every room. He even has his own miniature dog house, which is built and painted to look kind of like a victorian house! Is this dog livin' large or what?
Woody's owners have a boutique. One day Woody wandered outside when the door was open. His owner saw him leave and got up and followed him. Even though she was right behind him, Woody was gone! His owners were in shock. They put up posters everywhere, and after about three days of no Woody they put up new ones. This time they offered a thousand dollar prize, no questions asked. About and hour and a half after the signs were put up, they got a phone call. It was a lady who said that she didn't have the dog, but she knew who did. She wanted the money in return! So they arranged a meeting place and prepared to meet her. When they left, Woody's owners even made a police officer follow them! They met the lady and gave her the thousand dollars. Soon they had their adorable Woody in their arms! They are glad that is over with!
There are other pampered dogs also! 75% admitted that they talk in a different voice to their pets; but really, don't we all? People go way farther than talking to their pets differently though. Many spend a lot of money on cashmere coats for their dogs, and some buy Burberry coats for their pups. Some celebs go into high end stores and but $5,000 worth of stuff for their dogs!
I think spending $5,000 on clothes is a lot, but how about leaving messages on the phone for your dog! Or giving your dog botox because they don't like the wrinkles on Fefe's face. That's crazy! One lady wanted her dog to have some sort of surgery to get rid of fat instead of just exercising it. That's crazy! It's nice to make your pet happy, but really, do they care if they are wearing a thousand dollar perfume with a cashmere coat and a pink pedicure? I don't think so!
The moral of the story is: Make your pet happy, but think if you are buying something for them to make them happy or to make yourself happy. (Long moral!)
