SHOW DEBT THE DOOR!!!

Welcome to "THE LADDER", a site dedicated to helping ordinary people live free of debt and build a financially secure future for themselves and their families.

The recipe for getting rid of debt is simple (which doesn't mean it is easy!). It goes as follows:

When you are in a hole,

1. STOP DIGGING !!!!!

2. Look around for a convenient LADDER to get you out!

Like most good advice, it is a lot easier to give than to follow.

1. Stop digging.

If you are in debt, take time out to sort out just where you stand and how much you owe. Most people don't know exactly how much they owe, partly because as human beings we often don't want to admit to ourselves just how bad things are.

You also need to work out your cash flow, preferably writing it down, so that you know how much you have coming in each week or month and how much has to go out. In the long run you need to have less going out than you have coming in, but at certain times of life this is easier said than done!

You may need to control the amount of money you spend on, for example, your Retail Therapy, Smoking, Alcohol, Meals out, Entertainment, etc. You need to minimise your expenses, at least in the short term, but only you can tell whether the amount you spend on, for example, smoking and drinking is excessive or is a necessity to keep you sane! If you are honest with yourself you will know which it is!

Many people think that items such as Gas, Electric, Home Telephone, Mobiles, etc., are fixed expenses and you just have to put up with the bills. However, there are many suppliers for these services and over 80% of people are paying more than they need to. We can show you how the average household can save over £400 a year on these services.

Just think! - if you won £400 a year for life in a competition, would you refuse to accept the prize?

If you are in serious trouble, like being in default with rent, mortgage, etc, you may need specialist help from a "rescue service". In this case we would advise you to go to your local Citizens Advice Bureau and ask for help (see Phone Book for address).

2. Find a convenient Ladder.

If you want to live debt free in the future, something has to change. It is not sensible to carry on living in exactly the same way and doing exactly the same things which got you into debt in the first place and expect to get a different result next time!

However, most of us don't want to live in poverty for the rest of our lives, unable to spend anything for fear of getting into debt again. A better way is to find some means of making a bit (or a lot!) more money each month.

There are various ways available to make a bit of extra money, including getting an ordinary second job, but many of these don't pay very well, are a gamble or you finish up having no life with your family! For those of us who work with "THE LADDER", there came a time in life when we said to ourselves:

There has to be a better way!

There simply has to be a way of making a decent part time income.

I want a secure future for my family and myself.

I need an income that will cover my mortgage and the bills,

I need to get myself a good pension for my old age.

I want to work for myself - and be in control.

I am fed up with selling my life by the hour.

With a bit of help I could achieve something, and do something worthwhile with my life!

There has to be a better way!

Have you reached that point yet?

If you have, and would like to help yourself by helping others, you may be interested in becoming one of our team on "THE LADDER", working from home part time in a business which offers you that better way. We are looking for more people to join our team and it doesn't matter what age, sex, background or qualifications you have (or don't have). You get full professional training and you can earn a good long term extra income helping other people save money on their bills. It is no "get rich quick" scheme, but steady consistent work pays well. We are all self employed and choose our own hours.

If you would like to find out more about how much you could save on your utility bills, or if you would like more information about the income opportunity we can offer with our team, all you have to do is send us an email to info@theladder.co.uk

Please include your name, address and Telephone number.
