TREKKING & BACKPACKING CLUB INCATRAILS EXPLORER STAFF MIGUEL CHIRI VALLE Miguel
Chiri is a native of Lima, Peru residing continuously in Huaraz
(Cordillera Blanca) since 1982. Grows up in the USA, studying his
Elementary and Junior High School in California ending his studies at
the Military School Leoncio Prado, in Peru. He graduated as a
professional guide in 1981, specializing in trekking and
archaeological tours . He has served since then in different local and
national travel agencies.
In 1987 he becomes the director of FOPTUR (The Peruvian Promotion and Tourist Information Government Office) in Ancash until 1993. The main purpose of this institution was to promote , national and worldwide the Cordillera Blanca and all the tourist attractions in the department. During those years he leaded the biggest national event in the area called "Semana del Andinismo" (Week of the Outdoor sports) celebrated the first week of June, every year. He is founder and director of the Trekking and Backpacking Club , which dedicates to promote trekking and backpacking in Peru for the independent traveler . Founder and director of the Incatrails Explorer , dedicated to the investigation of the Royal Incatrail of Peru, specially in the Northern area of the Andes. Opening new routes of this trail, as an alternative in adventure travel for the off-road trekkers. In 1997, he becomes part of the staff as a guide of EXPLORANDES . He obtains the Prize for Quality Service, Guide of the Year 1999 in Huaraz. He has guided groups for the biggest adventure travel agencies of the world. In 2001, graduates as an instructor of Tai Chi and Chi Kung, an ancient Chinese art, for corporal relaxation. At the moment he is guiding and exploring new routes of the Incatrail in the Coast, Andes and Jungle. And continues his work, as a guide in the Cordillera Blanca, Huayhuash and Conchucos trails. |

WILDER YANAC FLORES Wilder
Yanac is native of Huaraz, Peru. Residing in Huaraz
(Cordillera Blanca). Grows up in that city, studying his
Elementary and High School in the Private School of San Agustin. He graduated as a
professional guide in 1998, from the Eleazar Guzman Barron National
Institute, and in 2000, he graduates as an Official Mountain Guide, specializing in trekking and
mountain climbing. He has worked since then in different local, national
and international travel agencies.
In 2005, he becomes part of the staff as a trekking and mountain guide of the Club and Incatrails Explorer. He speaks English fairly well, which has made him become very popular in between the foreigners for advice in mountain climbing. He's constantly doing the routes of Ishinca, Tocllaraju, Pisco, Chopicalqui, Alpamayo and Huascaran. Also he knows very well the roads of Huayhuash and does also a climb to Diablo Mudo in that area. Also he is guiding and exploring new routes with Incatrails Explorer in the Andes. And continues his work, as a guide in the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash. |
