Memoirs Wrapped in Blue.

I want you to do something for me. I want you to close your eyes and think back to when you were just a child. Back to when the world was new. When color was vibrant, when the slightest breeze would prickle your skin and raise the hairs on your arms. Rock back and forth. Feel the vibrations. Go ahead, close them. You are in a place of trust. This is your santuary. I am hear to catch you if you fall. Keep them closed. Now dream...

Welcome to Memoirs wrapped in Blue.

One Mystery a Day.

The sights, smells and sounds of fall are beguinning to wrap themselves upon my world. Maybe yours too?

A quick breeze, a rustle of leaves. As I stare out upon the near twilight sky, I ponder the mystery of the day as I always do. The mystery of the day?

Every day holds a mystery to be solved. Every night before my slumber I try to find that mystery. Try this for yourself. Find one mystery in your day. You dont have to solve, it, just recognize it's presence. Marvel at its beauty and complexity. Maybe it was a new color you discovered. Maybe it was a new sound, sight or smell. Maybe a conversation you had with some stranger. A quote that grabbed your brain.

My mystery today was I noticed I lacked a certain something in my life. I am happy, yes but...something lingers on the fringes. Almost in view, but when I look directly at it it disappears. When I think about this certain something, it's like being a child on christmas morning. That feeling of discovery. The butterflies. I only know it will appear soon...

So, what was your mystery today...
