General Informacion

LOCATION
In the east side flank of the Cordillera Blanca, on the Conchucos Valley in the department of Ancash, aprox. 110 kms. from Huaraz.
ALTITUDE
The town of Chavin is at 3,100 mts. above sea level.
Our personalized experiential programs have the personal assistance of a professional trip leader and guide, in places which there is no English speaking staff.
POPULATION
It has a population of 8,200 inhabitants.
CLIMATE
Most of the year is lukewarm. In summer (December to March) is the rainy season with sunny mornings and in winter (June to September) during the day, its warm and at night, cold.
ACCESS / APPROACH
By Land:
It communicates from Lima by the Northern Pan-American Highway that goes to Huaraz. At the intersection of Catac, the road (paved) heads east towardsthe Conchucos Valley were Chavin is located. It takes aprox. 9 hours from Lima and 3 hrs. from Huaraz. Daily departures from Huaraz and Lima...
