Second
Annual “Dine To Be Kind” to Benefit CNYCC
On
Tuesday, February 28, all central New
York locations of UNO Chicago Grill ~ Clay,
Fayetteville, Carousel Mall ~ will participate in “DINE TO BE KIND”, a one day event which raises money to enable the CNY
Cat Coalition to continue to fund spay and neuter assistance programs for the
cats they rescue. The group’s second annual
“Dine To Be Kind” takes place on World
Spay Day as part of an international campaign to promote the life-saving
benefits of spay and neuter programs for cats (and dogs). Whether it’s lunch or
dinner, it’s a simple and enjoyable opportunity to help animals. In fact, many
workplaces order take-out for lunch on World Spay Day, because to-go orders
also help animals in need! All the public
is asked to do is present a voucher (available at Petsmart in Clay, Fairmount
,Dewitt), and patronize the UNO’s of your choice on that day. Uno’s will donate
up to 20% from each customers check to the organization.
Saving
lives has never been easier and eating out has never felt so good!
Spaying or neutering pets improves their health
and behavior, and lessens the burden of animal overpopulation on both shelters
and taxpayers. Thanks to the CNY Cat Coalition’s efforts in 2011, over 1, 700
cats were altered, preventing hundreds of unwanted litters. All proceeds from the Dine To Be Kind event will
be used to continue this work.
The CNY Cat Coalition is a non-profit 501 (c) 3
volunteer organization of individuals and feline animal welfare groups from
across the Central New York region. CNYCC provides sterilization and
vaccination assistance, operates a pet food pantry, recruits foster homes for
cats, and promotes healthy cats/kittens for adoption on Petfinders.
Additionally, the group is also one of Petsmart’s Adoption Center partners.
