Tales

It was a fine day in the merry month of May and I was enjoying a very tasty midday snack when all of a sudden my slave appeared in front of me from out of nowhere and frit the living daylights out of me and my delicious tidbit flew out of my mouth and went up into the air. Of course, my slave found this to be highly amusing. I, however, was not amused. I have no idea where my snack went to this day.

One day Harvey and I were enjoying a cuddle and a chat in the lounge when mum popped in to fetch something. Harvey stopped chatting, put his front feet on my arm and leaning forward with his gaze fixed firmly on my mother started to grind his teeth!

You see, Harvey thinks that mum is his slave and will fetch a yummy treat for him if he demands it and, of course, she does! In fact, he does this EVERY time he's downstairs and spots mum.

Warning: This tale is a bit naughty!!

We were at our local vets recently as Harvey had had a bad reaction to an anti-flystrike medication. We went into the consultation room and were told to put Harvey down on the floor so that the vet could see how he was reacting. No sooner had Harv been put down on the floor than our New Zealander vet exclaimed "Look at the bo****ks on that!!" My mother who was with me at the time looked at me and we both started laughing as we couldn't believe our ears!!! Needless to say, Harvey came home in a very happy mood!!

(From the Caviary Diary)

As it was a lovely sunny day today I decided to let the piggies have a bit of fresh air and so put them out in pairs in the run. When it came to Amber and Ruby's turn Amber was very skittish and something must have startled her because she shot up the side of the pen and leapt to freedom! :o I've never been so panicked in all my life and I shot after her. I had a hell of a job to grab hold of her as she was running like buggery and I only just managed to catch her before she could disappear under the gate and beyond that is our driveway.....if she'd got that far I would have lost her for sure. :( I just couldn't believe how high she could throw herself......I've had that pen for 11 years and no piggy has ever escaped so I thought it was 100% safe. She must be an Olympig champion.
