Precious came to me as a puppy 9 years ago, one month after I lost my other dog to an illness. I wasn't sure about Precious because I was still missing my other dog. Precious was given to me as a gift from my mother and God, so I knew I had to make it work. Well, as I mentioned on Krusty's page, when Precious walked in she immediately went towards Krusty. Krusty sniffed her and went in the other room. Precious followed him. I didn't know what to do because I was afraid a fight would occur. but, I thought about it and said to myself if they are going to get along this would be the sign. So, I didn't follow them in the room.. Moments later they came out and were playing. So, I knew it would work out. Precious has been an angel! She was easily paper trained. She never gave me a hard time about anything. In fact she was always gentle and obedient. Precious is so sweet and kind. I always say that if she ever got out of the house she would not survive because she would be too trusting to a kind voice and wouldn't hurt a fly. (I'm thankful this has never happened). This is why she is so dear to me.
Precious' Favorite Things and Unusual Characteristics
Precious loves to go for nice walks. She really enjoys her walks in the summertime. Precious loves to eat. I'm glad I have enough sense to feed her only twice a day. With tidbits in between. The Food she likes is meat. Her favorite is chicken. I ususally mix chicken with Mighty Dog food and dry food. Precious loves her treats and she loves, to be petted. She especially likes when I talk to her. She looks at me and understands what I am saying. Sometimes when she can't understand me she will tilt her head to the sign and her ears go up. Precious also love to play with her brother (Krusty). Though both Krusty and Precious are older now and don't play as much as they use to, they still enjoy their playtime together. Precious loves her chewtoys, espeically her chew bone. I get all her toys from Pet Smart. The chew bones come in 3 different flavors, chicken, liver, and beef. Of course, her favorite is chicken. Precious has a few unusual characteristics, such as:
- Does not walk in the rain.
- Does not walk where it's wet.
- Will not walk pass strangers. Precious will wait for the stranger to pass before walking.
- Does not like to be disturbed when sleeping.
- Loves to take my shoes.
Play Time
Precious loves to play with Krusty. Usually when I come back from walking Precious, Krusty is at the door waiting. He sniffs Precious and play time starts. Precious will get a little frisky and the start to play. Precious will run around and Krusty will chase her. Most times Precious tires out Krusty so he will just lay down and stick his paw out to let Precious know he's had enough. Most times Precious takes heed and settles down. Sometimes late at night when Krusty gets a little frisky Precious will awaken and join him. (Somtimes when this happens Precious will look just to see what he's doing and then go back to sleep). Precious also loves to frolic on the bed. She will roll around with her legs up in the air. Sometimes I'll put the covers over her and she will try to get out of them. Sometimes we will play fight and of course, I let her win. (This is the only time she feels she feels she is the boss.
Quiet Moments
Precious loves when its quiet. She likes to get her rest and enjoy the calm. This usually happens on the weekends. During the week I'm in and out so its a little busy. But, the weekend is when Precious can sleep on her bed and enjoy the view from the window. Precious also loves when I leave for work, this gives her a chance to rest as well because once I come home she is following me everywhere I go. Precious loves to watch me and she knows my habits. In fact, I think Precious habit is to know my habits. One of my habits is to take a nap on Saturdays. Espcially if I have been up studying early in the morning, so by the afternoon I am ready for a nap. Precious loves this and comes into the bedroom, waits for me to pick her up and we are off to sleep. Soon Krusty is joining us. Yes, the quiet moments are nice!
I really enjoy my pets and love them dearly.
