You Died On Me

You were always there,
and the only one who knew what I had to bare.
One minute you were at my side,
the next on the floor you had died.
You had somebody's money,
and they knew what they had to do.
They were out to kill my Homie
they were out to kill you.
It seemed like everything was perfect,
yes everything was fine.
Until you got into the wrong crowd and started committing crime.
The drugs they overwhelmed you
drinking took most of your time.
But the thing that overwhelmed you the most was tangled in that horrible crime.
The thing you could not get over,
that lead you into debt.
You said I had nothing to worry,
you said that you'd be set.
In your famous words before dust came to dust.
If you're thinking of running the game run one you know you will win
'cause if you don't death will come from your sin.
In memory of the man Ill never again get to see,
Lying in the casket staring at me.
Twice in the heart, once in the head.
Sitting by your casket writing this poem
I cant believe you are dead.
You mean so much to so many hearts
and since you died mine is in many parts.
To all the Thugs we've laid to rest,
and those of you who are left, I hope you the best.
Your lives they are so precious and yet there are so few,
and to those of you who are one I dedicate this to you.
