Dawson's creek is one of the most popular TV-series in the US, especially among the youths. Many people think it's one of the best TV-series for youths since "My so called life" with Claire Danes. The man behind "Dawson's creek" is called Kevin Williamson, who has also made successful movies like "Scream" and "I know what you did last summer".
"Dawsons's creek" is about the four youths Dawson Leery [James van Der Beek], Josephine "Joey" Potter [Katie Holmes], Jennifer Lindley [Michelle Williams] and Pacey Witter [Joshua Jackson]. The young and blonde Dawson and the tomboy Joey are 15 years old and live on each side of a creek. When the beautiful Jennifer arrives from New York, Dawson and Joey's friendship changes. Why is it so hard for Joey when Dawson falls in love with Jen? The last one is Pacey Witter who is Dawson's best friend.
Through the series we follow the life of the four youths on Capeside High. They go through things like love, sex, friends, school and family. Everyone can recognize themselves in this series. It's realistic and doesn't have "happy endings" in every episode.
