I’m an Art student. I’ve been interested in Art for some 10 years or so, since I started drawing with a computer at my friends house. It became my most favorite hobby in primary school. When the end of that school was coming near I started to dream about becoming an architect when I grow up. I started to draw even more and also tried to get inspiration to study mathematics a bit. Then I got to Tammerkosken lukio (high school) and to the Art class there. I started to really believe in myself then. I never had friends who were interested in culture, they were all more sport and industry people. I started making oil paintings when I started school. I fell in love with them. I took the longer line in mathematics and physics in school and at start tried to get really interested in them. But I was so inspired by oil paints that I couldn’t really focus in many more things (I still studied history and languages). On my second year it became clear to me that I wouldn’t be an architect. I had developed such a big interest in Art and Art history that it started to look like the only way. So I put all my energy in making paintings, and I had many good ideas. I think it has been the most inspiring time of my Art since now. On my third and last year I continued from this and started looking for a good school that I’d like to study in. I applied to four places and got inside two of them. I chose to come here in Turku and have never regretted my decision. I hope to go abroad as an exchange student for a few months to learn something from different cultures and to find more universal opinions and sides about myself (I have been to at least 15 countries but they have always been short tourist like visits). I’m also planning to continue my studies for a few years after this fine school.

1995- I have done about 20 wall paintings in different cities in Finland with my friend Jussi Kaakinen. They are all legal works made for different companies from bicycle stores to big industrial factories, we’ve also received payment from these works.
