Daily Quote About Living

Listen
to the wind
It will caress you
and, lightly, bless you
with its powers of deja vu.
Listen
as the wind
blows the clouds across the stars
in the darkness, it will thrill you
'til those memories nearly kill you
with their powers of remorse.
Listen
to your dreams
blowing waves of solace
to drown the deepest sorrows
in gentle seas of tomorrow's hope.
Listen
don't despair
let the warm sea breezes lull you
let the drug of sunshine dull you
let the emptiness seep through you
till you're back on even keel
till you're sure tomorrow will repay your dues
Listen to your silent muse
and ride the wind.

Dear Friend

Hello Dear Friend! it's me again, the one you used to know
The one who loved you always, and would be around to help you grow.
Yet, in this time of confusion, as two twins begin to part
One wanting to be free, the other not wanting to use her heart.
Together they stare out a window, the child, and the woman she has become
Their searching for a place of peace, in this life there is none.
As the innocence loses her laughter, as she gathers, she knows not how to release the pain
In the terrors of the ever after, before slumber, she can still hear the pattering of the rain.
So I cling to you through teardrops, and broken hopes and dreams
For a smile is lost forever, and nothing in this world is what it seems.

I do not want to live eternally in this time and day
Not knowing who to turn to, or how to find the write words to say.
A soul that cries at once for the lives that have all died
Did anybody hear them screaming, or, kiss there cheeks good-bye.
Why is life so created, is it a place called hell
As I fell into this blackened hole, my own private cell.
Yet, I reach out for the little one, still lost, tender, and bruised
In a world filled with demons and sorrows, with false hopes that feel cluttered and confused.
They can hold hands with each other, and embrace when they feel sad
The emotions that flowed so freely, and gave the love that they had.
Two conflicting loving people belonging to one soul
One just wants to be free, the other never to grow old.

Lisa Ann 1998

What Love Means To Me

"I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me. Love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person. Love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of. Love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still get weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you."

We two have met a thousand times before
Tricked out in twice a thousand good disguises
And we will meet a hundred thousand more
As long as there's a sun that sets and rises.
As long as there's a world where life can flourish
In this or any other universe
We'll meet and marry and we'll learn to nourish
The love that makes a blessing from a curse.

Sometimes it happens that we do not touch,
Or know each other only by a glance.
Sometimes we cling together much too much
And must be dragged apart by death or chance
To grow again through darkness to the light -
But sometimes, love, we're wise and get it right.

Life is a challenge - meet it.
Life is a gift - accept it.
Life is an adventure - dare it.
Life is a sorrow - overcome it.
Life is a tragedy - face it.
Life is a duty - perform it.
Life is a game - play it.
Life is a mystery - unfold it.
Life is a song - sing it.
Life is an opportunity - take it.
Life is a journey - complete it.
Life is a promise - fulfill it.
Life is a beauty - praise it.
Life is a struggle - fight it.
Life is a goal - achieve it.
Life is a puzzle - solve it.
Life is eternal - believe it.
