I create moderate-sized three-dimensional forms from metal and wooden materials, for interior display. All pieces are thoroughly primed and finally coated with enamel paints. I am currently working on wall-mounted pieces.
I model directly in wax, and not clay for cast metal artwork. Wax has superior structural and release properties above clay. Molds are easier to make from wax originals, and allow for the production of numbered edition replicas. I cast in either bronze and stainless steel.
I prefer oils as a painting medium. I lean towards an imaginative-realist style, within the genres of fantasy and science-fiction. I also except commissions for private work. Often, I will design the content of a piece digitally before painting.
