As Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock are headed towards Cinnabar Island, they see a thief being chased by Officer Jenny run by. Ash wants to help so he told Pikachu to shock the thief. The thief is now on the floor but Officer Jenny is helping him up. She yells at Ash and asked why he did that. He said that he was trying to stop the criminal. She tells them that she is actually training her K-9 Squad, which are police dogs or Growlithes. Ash apologizes. Officer Jenny then takes them back to the camp. There she tells them about what she’s doing. Ash decides that he wants Pikachu to be in the training too, so Officer Jenny lets Pikachu train. Everyone wakes up early next morning to train. Ash finds out that he also must train with Pikachu. So to begin the training, Ash and Pikachu must run an obstacle course against Officer Jenny and one of her Growlithes. At the beginning Ash and Pikachu are in the lead but then they are stuck on the wall climbing and Officer Jenny wins. Team Rocket shows up in a car shaped like Growlithes. Team Rocket is dressed like Officer Jenny. They then use some weird gas that changes Ash, Misty, Brock, Officer Jenny, and the Pokémons’ voices. They then use a gas that makes the Growlithes can’t smell anything. Team Rocket have these microphones that imitate peoples voices. They imitate Officer Jenny’s voice and command the Growlithes to tie up Officer Jenny. Ash, Misty, and Brock decides to help but Jesse orders the Growlithes to surround them. Jesse then dresses up like Ash and uses his voice to try to trick Pikachu into coming with them. Pikachu didn’t fall for it though cause Pikachu and Ash both no what’s inside each other’s hearts and can’t be fooled. Jesse then dresses back to Officer Jenny and orders the Growlithes to get Pikachu. Pikachu then shocked the Growlithes around 12 times. Jigglypuff shows up all of a sudden and sings a little and leaves. The Growlithes then attack Officer Jenny, but stops and recognizes her. The microphone no longer tricks the Growlithes anymore. Team Rocket realizing their loss, runs away.
