Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock find their way to some weird place and discovers lots of Clefairys. He then meets some scientist that is studying the Clefairys. Ash and his friends soon learn about the Moonstone and how the Clefairys pray to it. Team Rocet appears and tries to steal the Moonstone. They fail. The Moonstone then exploids and some of the powder lands on some Clefairys and turn them into Clefable.
Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock arrvie at Cerulean City. He goes to the gym to battle the leader. There were actually 3 leaders, and they were sisters, but their Pokemon were all worn out so Ash had to battle Misty. Misty was the young sister of the gym leaders but she left on a journey like Ash. Ash won the match even though there was a slight interruption from Team Rocket, Team Rocket's plans failed once more. Ash beet Misty so he won another badge.
Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock find their way to an unofficial gym in the middle of mowhere. Ash still challeges the gym leader, A.J. which is a wild Pokemon trainer. Ash loses to A.J. Team Rockets appears and tries to steal Pikachu but ended up catching A.J.'s Sandshrew. A.J. later gets Sandshrew back and then challeges Team Rocket. A.J. won the battle which is his 100th win and no loses. A.J. then begins his Pokemon journey.
Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock to a Pokemon school in the middle of a forest. The school is called the Pokemon Technical Institution. If you attend this school, you don't have to battle for badges, you just graduate and enter the Pokemon league. Ash battles the head student of the beginner class named Jazel. Ash won the battle.
Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock find their way into a forest again. They find this hidden village with lots of Pokemon that comes there when their injured or were abandoned. There is a women there that takes care of the Pokemon. Bulbasaur is the guardian of the village, he makes sure no one tries to capture the Pokemon resting there. The women lets Ash have Bulbasaur but Bulbasaur wanted to fight Ash first. So after a Pokemon battle with Bulbasaur (Ash Wins) Bulbasaur belongs to Ash.
