Ivan is noted for hid great advances in the field of Physiology. He did much reserch, and experiments on the Physiology of the haert, the digestive system, and the nervouse system.
he is most known for his experiment in 1889. He was testing behavior sciences by taking a dog, and making him salvate. he would put out some food for the dog, and he would drool, then he would also ring a bell for when he would give the dogs food. They would drool. Not long after; at the sound of a bell, the dogs would salvate, even though there was no food.
In 1904 his great work on digestive glands landed him a Nobel prize for Phisiology or medicine.
