For My Friends

Even when Our Friends

Travel to distant lands...

They still carry a part of us

 inside of them ...

Lighting a candle

 of Love and Hope ,

As their prayers for us begin.

Father,  Please Remember

My Friends Back home ,

Watch over them each day ...

They mean so much to my life,

Making a difference in every way.

In the awesome beauty of the church,

As the candlelight danced on the walls ,

Whispering a  prayer to My Father above

I suddenly felt so very small.

How blest I am to behold this beauty

Placed in front of me ...

I wish every friend not here by my side

Could envision  the beauty I see.

I will capture it in a picture

Carry it home, ever close to my heart...

So each and every friend I love

Of my journey will be a part.
