A Halloween Walk

A Halloween Walk

What a night to need to go to the store,
Dark as pitch but the moon shone bright.
My scalp began to tingle, my body turned cold,
Looking up I saw a witch flying high and bold.

As she passed before the moon as it brightly glowed,
Along with trees, casting eerie shadows on the ground below.
Twigs beneath my feet snapped viciously,
And seemed to want to hold tight to me.

Little ghosts and goblins seemed to be most everywhere,
Darting here and darting there with squeals of delight.

Devils and witches were also in sight.
Strange sounds seemed to come from out of nowhere,
Looking around I could see no one there.

I wondered, why does that store seem so far away now?
While a big black cat scampered in front of me,
The big yellow moon made trees cast shadows on the ground
With nothing familiar to me was there to be found.
Now as I shook wildly in my boots, I wondered on this trip,
Why was everything so wild and out to get my every step,
Making me feel faint and afraid, was I loosing my grip?
But then I found the reason why,
My goodness sake, it's because it's Halloween night !!!

Have a Happy Halloween everyone
