Almost Springtime

The snowman tips his hat to say,

Winter now has gone at last, oh those crazy days.

It's hard to think of summer and vacation time,

Garden and flowers and frilly things so fine.

The flowers need planting, dirt to dig, Oh my!

The next to come is Easter and clothes to buy.

Now comes the sun and heated days,

The cold and blustery wind have gone away.

Then all to soon we'll wish for a bit of winters chill,

Saying, torrid heat wont it go away? It makes me ill.

But then a dip in the pool will make it fine,

For another happy, busy summer time.

We think of where to spend our vacation,

Some place away from our little mansion.

Will it be to the mountains cool

Or to the beach for a tan or to just act a fool?

Perhaps a picnic, fighting ants and flies,

Then coming home with contented sighs!

But be it summer, winter, fall or spring,

The place to find that comfort, brings

Us to own little church upon the hill,

There your thirsty soul may have it's fill.

So no matter the season, there we may meet,

And enjoy God's word in comfort, in your seat.

Vacations are great, but there's no place like home!
