She Was a Young Girl

She Was a Young Girl

She was a young girl

With a lass so mild

A mother who loved

Her little child

They were as close

As mother and daughter could be

But the tide turned in

And they could not see

God needed the Mamma

Called to , please come home

The daughter just stared

Momma's spirit would roam

But daughter did not understand

And her heart did break

God tried to explain

As Momma's hand He did take

Daughter still a bit shaken

But she knew Momma's not far

Every night

She's the bright shining star

So while daughter still misses

Her Mom, while they're apart

She still hold her close

Deep in her heart
