As we travel life's pathways, what are we leaving behind?
Will we be remembered with fondness or were we unkind?
How much time will we have to leave a good thought?
We can leave all our money or things we have bought.
But how much time does it take to flash a bright smile
As we all walk together mile after mile.
Have we taken the time to ask a friend, are you well?
Or did you listen to gossip that hurts, that some one did tell?
Did you tell someone you met "I'm glad you are here,"
When they parted, did they feel of good cheer?
Now is the time, as it so swiftly flies by,
To choose the memories you wish to leave when you die.
Take the time now to see for someone may be needing you,
You'll feel so much better if you do.
For the older we get the faster time goes,
For it's what we do now that others will know.
'Tis how we're remembered that makes everything fine.
And how can we know, for us, how much more time?
Time waits for no man so do something nice now,
And God up in heaven will smile , as only He knows how.
