The Gift

Oh Lord I cried, I feel so useless
inside.
No gift have I to give to Thee, and
you've given so much to me.
As I sat there by the light, my Lord
softly spoke these words to me.
Hush my child, he softly said, and
gently lifted my head and said.
You have many gifts, I've given to
Thee, so use these gifts I've given
to you to serve others too.
But use love as your motivation, for
you see this was the last Commandment
I had given Thee.
There is no power greater than Love, you
see.
So when people are rude, uncaring and mean
and you think you can go no further,
look to me.
For I will give you strength and my Grace
will be sufficient for Thee.
So always remember my child things that are
noble and right are not unseen from my
Father's sight...
