Just the Scent of the Rose I picked today

Painted an everlasting memory of You

Bringing to mind A day long ago

As You tended to each delicate bloom

The Red Rose is for Love You said

This Yellow one for Friendships Dear

The Pink Rose means sentiments of deep caring

The White One so Pure and Rare

Just the scent of the Rose of Red today

Brought me back closer to You

This precious delicate flower

In the garden of My heart still blooms

Although Your no longer here with me

I Know I Shall never forget

On that Day of Days so long ago

This Very precious gift

As You handed  to me Your One red Rose

That was so very precious to You

You gave me a gift of Knowing

Love continually blooms

Just the Scent of the Rose I picked today

Brought me a memory of Love for you

I gently laid it where You now rest
