Someone once asked

A new leaf do I turn

For any year

I say no , it's a burn

 

I can't keep the promises

That I try to make

Then a bad feeling

Which I just cannot shake

 

So this a new year

The start of 2008

Is what I am planning

Before it's too late

 

Tell friends I love them

Help my family

Visit with friends

And people I usually don't see

 

Don't be so judgmental

And save all of my ire

For one of theses days

It might just help me expire

 

Pet the small animals

Feed all my birds

And watch very carefully

All of my words

 

Love more and laugh more

Before it's too late

Try to be a much better person
