Time for cocoa
Sharon Branson
It must be time for cocoa,
God is throwing marshmallows,
The sun was out much earlier
today,
But now it's gray, the lake is
still,
And I'm curled up in my
chair.
It must be time for cocoa,
My nose and toes are chilled.
The sun has dipped below the clouds,
The sky with snow is filled.
My heart is sad, my thoughts are
blue,
"My Child it's time for
cocoa".
Christmas has come and gone
again,
When 12th nite comes, we'll take
it down,
A fire is set in our new
fireplace,
It's embers warm and bright.
My "Judy" quilt is
'round me wrapped,
Hubby's here, he's always near,
God is throwing marshmallows,
It must be time for cocoa.
