- WrestleMania 2 was the first WrestleMania which was actually held on Pay-Per-View television. The first WrestleMania was shown on closed-circuit TV at thousands of theatres and arenas across the country.
- Bret Hart made his WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania 2. In his 12 WrestleMania appearances from WrestleMania 2 to WrestleMania 13, Hart would compete in numerous kinds of matches – battle royals, six-man tags, submission matches, Tag Team Championship matches, Intercontinental Championship matches, and Federation Championship matches. Hart would also compete in the main event of two WrestleManias.
