Tips For Saving Money on Your Favors

Ideas To Keep in Mind Concerning Favors

I know how limited your time can be when planning a wedding, but if you have the time, making wedding favors can be a fun project for you and your soon-to-be husband! One simple and inexpensive idea for wedding favors is a wedding CD. For this project, you will need a CD burner, and a handful of songs that are special to you both. There are not any rules with this, just keep in mind that there will probably be various age groups at the wedding, so try to incorporate songs everyone will enjoy. Don't forget the song for your first dance! My husband and I did this for our wedding, the CD cover is above. We invested in simple CD label software (which is about $15 at Staples). Creating the CD's and labels were easy, but they do take awhile to burn and print. Make sure if you do these favors to leave yourself enough time. Another inexpensive and even easier idea is to do "Lucky in Love" lottery tickets. Purchase as many $1 scratch-off tickets as you have guests. On the computer, you can design mini envelopes with your names and "Lucky in Love" on the front. On the inside, slip in the lottery ticket. This can be an easy idea for couples looking to save money but lacking the time needed for a task like CD's. There are many creative ideas for inexpensive favors depending on the time of the year the wedding is. For example, bulbs for a spring wedding, or caramel apples for a fall wedding. Use your own creativity! A thought out favor is often much better than a typical frame.
