November 17, 2003

Fellowship Manner 6PM-8PM

                                Scouts served as color guard for ACS Relay for Life kick-off and participated in a simulated luminaria.
November 9, 2003

Kleckners Rangers Station:  7PM-10PM

                                 NVD First Aid Meet, 7th Place Finish
October 17-19, 2003

Trexler Scout Reservation:  5:30PM October 17 - 11:00AM October 19

                        Weather:  Cold and rainy with some sun on Saturday and Sunday

                Scouts fished, attended Troop JLT, and attended the Troop 53 Court of Honor

September 8, 2003

Gracedale County Nursing Home:  6:15PM-8:00PM

                Scout and parent volunteer victims took part in a disaster simulation run by Northampton County Emergency Management.
August 29-30, 2003

Whitehall Parkway:  6:00PM August 29 - 7:00PM August 30

                Weather:  Rain on Friday.  Sunny Saturday morning with clouds and rain in the afternoon.

        Scouts completed requirements for Tenderfoot and Second Class and completed Firem 'n Chit training.

August 12, 2003

Whitehall Parkway:  6:00PM-8:00PM

        Weather:  Sunny and hot.

Scouts completed a compass course covering 1.2 miles of trail in the Whitehall Parkway.

        Requirements:  None
July 20-26, 2003
        Camp Trexler, Deer Trail Site:  1:00PM July 20 - 11:30AM July 26

Weather:  Severe T-Storm monday night, rain tuesday night, rain wednesday afternoon, cloudy thursday, sunny friday and saturday.  Temperatures between 60 and 85.  Mild to high winds.

During the week, the Scouts participated in the camp wide Ididorad, attended two camp fires, attended the
        OA tap-out ceremony, fished, told stories, sang songs, learned to lash, and had lots of fun.

Requirements:  Scouts worked on Basketry, Leatherwork, and Woodcarving merit badges.  Those who completed the swim test completed Second Class 7b and First Class 9.

March 29, 2003
Whitehall Parkway:  10:00AM-3:00PM
Weather:  Cloudy with scattered showers all day with a concentrated downpour during the afternoon.
From base camp at Camp Redtail, Scouts worked on fire building, compass reading, and took a hike. 
Requirements covered:  Tenderfoot
