T.G.I.S. is a beginner's meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. We are an open discussion meeting, meaning anyone may attend our meeting (alcoholics, family members, professionals, students, and the just plain curious). However, in keeping with our singleness of purpose and our 3rd Tradition which states that "the only requirement for membership is the desire to stop drinking," we ask all who participate to confine their discussion to problems with alcohol.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to achieve sobriety. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop drinking. We are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organizations, institutions, does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
We meet Monday through Saturday from noon-1:00 p.m. at the Sunlight Club located at 83 North Main Street in Washington, Pennsylvania.
