but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away."

(2 Timothy 3:5)

A few years ago, I heard a story about a young girl who was a lesbian and who's life had become a shambles. A friend of this young lady (from whom I heard the story) happened to be a Christian, and invited the lesbian girl to her church and assured her that there she could find help and friendship among the Christians. The young lady attended the church which not only promptly rejected her spiritual dilemma -- but also her as a person, with whom they wanted nothing to do with.

About two weeks later, the young girl committed suicide leaving a note which stated in part, that there "was no hope left...as even the Christian Church has rejected me..."

  14. "Tare"
    1. A weed that grows among wheat and other grain...darnel. (Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, 1879)
It is interesting to note that a 'tare' (darnel -- otherwise a weed), so closely resembles its neighbor that it is almost indistinquishable from the real wheat ... sound familiar? Well imagine a stalk of wheat with no grain (i.e., fruit).   (Matthew 13:24-30)

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
(2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
