January 6, 2005
The Ruffians ended their year by combining with 5 guys from the Lewisburg Legion and going to SSAA "D" Nationals in Peter's Creek , NC. They faced very tough competition and ended up with a 10th place finish. The team beat 2 out of the top 7 teams and lost to the 2nd place team. Overall it was a good trip and a good experience. Look for the Ruffians to play in more "National" tournaments this coming year.


---LEAGUE---
The Ruffians won the Sunbury Slowpitch League by besting their rivals Dan's Den in the finals. Dan's Den beat the Ruffians by a run in the first game, but the Ruffians stormed back and mercy ruled them in the 2nd game and beat them by 10 in the 3rd and final game. It was a nice ending for the Ruffians who fell to a different Dan's Den team in last year's finale. This was the first title for the Ruffians since 2000 after the team had broken up for the years 2001-2003. It was a nice ending to a good season overall for the Ruffians.
