(Steph) Hi Everyone!
Sorry I didn't get on the website last week. I was busy everyday! Since I have been off for the last two weeks I took it upon myself to start a project. I am painting my living room. I think I am crazy. But it looks so nice!
Marc and I had a great trip to Seattle to see the Mariners play on Sunday.
Continue to pray for Kiley and direction for this fall. She is leaning towards moving towards Seattle and my nephew wants her to move down to Arizona. She is really undecided.
Pray for Troy's duplex to go through. We went up and looked at it on Tuesday. It is a brand new complex and not yet complete. Supposed to be complete by Aug. 15.
I went and had a physical on Tuesday. Everything looks great except my cholesterol is higher than she wants. So pray for my self-discipline as I eliminate most of my sugar from my eating and walking at least 5 times a week. Also have bursitis in my right hip and am doing some different things to help alleviate that.
Pray for the budget process for Young Life and that we have God's insight as we prepare it.
Pray for Pat and Julie (Mo's wife) as they left on Tuesday to join the boys in Paris. She will return home the weekend of the 26th of July.
Pray for Norm as he is in Costa Rica on a missions trip with the Nazarene Church from WW. According to Ann he is doing well and will return on Monday, the 21st.
Pray for stamina for all involved in harvest. It can be such a stressful time for all involved.
Thanks for praying.
Love to you all, Steph

Eric is still on the job hunt. Pray for guidance and success in his search.

From Wilda Dear praying parasites,
We are on our way to Texas, ya all. Blaine has never met (Mark) his new son-in-law to be. Please pray that all goes well when they do meet. Mark is a geologist and so may be an environmentalist. Blaine (in his farming) has had many go-arounds with the environmental protection agency. It's like water and oil, they do not mix! Another issue is their political positions may differ, and Blaine is so dogmatic where he stands. Please pray that they will find some common ground (like God for instance).
Olive DeRuwe is at St Mary's for extensive therapy. She says it is very painful. Please pray that God will give her HIS strength so she will be able to walk again. He can do that, yes He can!!!!!!
Love you all Wilda

We had a wonderful time in the Midwest with lots of family - some of them we met for the first time. The Circus Parade was so amazing - I had perma-grin for two hours.
I have a meeting with many more people working on the show for Sweet Adelines tonight. Please pray for holy boldness for me as I try to be obedient to His calling of me.
Continue to pray for the returned campers and leaders. Some girls, Shayna, and Jamie Jo were in our basement having a great time last night. Pray the seeds that are planted, watered, and growing will ripen for Him.
Friday afternoon I am to have surgery on my knee. I am not expecting it to be bad but the dr will not know until he get inside the knee. Because Terry has to be in court on Friday morning in Spokane I am asking people to help me (not an easy thing for me). People are so good to me. Please pray for Dr. Gillespie as he has a long surgery in another hospital on Fri. morn. Pray that it will go smoothly so he can get to St. Mary's Hospital on time.
Thanks for all that you are. Love, Jan
(Anita)Hi everyone,
Updates:
YL camp went well. The leaders said things went well and they could see God working. PTL.
Jean Whipple is doing some better. Please pray for her to have progress in her physical therapy sessions. The moms are both improving with their sight after cataract removal.
Rachel seems to be doing fine with her job.
Requests:
Dorothy may be having some symptoms related to her bladder cancer. She says the Lord has given her a good life and seems at peace about her future, so please pray for her comfort and peace regarding daily activities.
After a good week of no headaches in early July, I have been having many since. The dr. has given me some options of medicines, please pray that I will know which to go with. Other than that, I had a pretty good physical check up this week and will know more after I get some lab work done. PTL. The dr. had me write some health goals, (for the file they keep) so I think that will be a good motivator.
Harvest has begun with the peas. Keep everyone's harvest operation in your prayers for safety and cool headedness. Also there have been several local fire calls this week and one was an all-nighter. I would ask for prayers for the firefighters for their safety and success in getting the fires out quickly. Also for everyone to do what they can to prevent more fires.
YL leaders and committee are meeting this weekend for a farewell gathering for Ryan R and Will and Shayna. Please pray for that to go well and that God stir hearts for more leaders and more committee members to come forth in the near future.
Am not sure what my role will be in harvest, but will probably be similar to other years---"standby, in case you are needed." Pray for me to use my time wisely in the meantime.
Thanks for being praying friends. Sorry I missed last week but I have been praying for all of you. Have a good week...ash
(Becky)Hi Parasites,
Hope you are enjoying these beautiful summer days as much as I am. Early mornings are absolutely glorious.
Thanks again for your prayers. The second chemo session is over-----just 10 to go. With the stuff they're using now Wednesday seems to be the worst day and everything is downhill after that. It is so nice to have a whole week of normal living. Still have my hair but my wig is ready. My dear YL girls met here last night and they were a delightful distraction.
The pastoral candidate was received well by our congregation but there is some hesitancy on their part to sell their home in Oregon and move here. Pray he and his wife will know exactly what God wants them to do. Perhaps they have already made their decision not to come and I haven't heard but pray anyway. Out congregation still hasn't voted on the matter but I don't feel there will be a problem there.
Please pray for Garret. He is in his second week of Marine boot camp in San Diego and we haven't heard from him. What he is going through has to be really difficult so pray he will feel the Lord's presence and strengthening and will be able to persevere. Daniel called Tuesday, it was raining in Valdez so he had some free time. He says he is doing well but he is missing the harvest crew.
Mary Warren begins her chemo next Tuesday so please pray that all will go well for her and that any stray cancer cells will be wiped out.
Am missing our meetings but appreciating our weekly contacts via e-mail. Is July 31st going to work for a Pasasite get together? Take care and have a good week.
Love, Becky

Hi friends,
God has been giving me ideas on how to encourage or support friends. I'm really grateful for that! Thank you, Lord.
Please continue to uplift the Sinky family. Steve told me today he feels "full-up"...meaning his lungs don't have a lot of space for oxygen. He continues to persevere despite all the health issues. He is teaching Teresa and Daniel how to fix the water pipes for irrigation. They very seldom ask for help, so Gordon and I just show up every day to see how things are and go from there. We do need God's wisdom on what to do, what to say, etc.
I have no direction yet on whether I'm to mentor a friend spiritually...continue prayer please and pray that if God intends for me to do this, He will give me have a "willing and obedient" heart.
Ryan seems to be handling the "secretary" thing just fine. We plan on heading to see him near the end of the month. I'm still praying God will give us a "sign" as to whether or not he's to buy a home.
Gordon and I are enjoying Chad so much that we'll hate to let him go back to college!! At times he gets weary of being "nice" to customers all day long. (ring a bell, Steph??) Pray he can maintain a happy spirit, a sweet smile and just the right words to respond to customers.
I hate to say this to anyone....but I think I'm doing better headache wise as I go off the hormones. (Knock on wood) Usually as soon as I say something, pow! A headache starts!! But I'm thankful anyway...hope that's the answer I've been needing.
It's wonderful to hear from all of you!!
Have a great week!
Love, Jan G
(Suzi) Hello Dear Friends,
Thank you God for the blessing of HOME!!
I thank all of you for your prayers. I know because of your prayers I was at peace on Monday. All went well. The polyp came of easier than expected. I had minimal bleeding and pain. PTL! The yard sale went well. There is still a lot left, but it is boxed and ready to be picked up. Jeremy and Kelley were a tremendous help. Kelley even worked a little in Mom and Dads new yard on Sunday. Brandon had a safe week in harvest.
Please continue to pray for the test results on my polyp. My dr. told Bill it would only take a couple of days. I still haven't heard. I called today, but no one returned my call.
Pray also for a safe harvest for all involved.
Continue to pray for the sale of Mom and Dad's house. It is so hot and this makes it difficult to keep two lawns from drying out. I pray that both Mom and Dad will not overdue.
Now that I'm home, pray that I can use my time wisely and keep the Lord at the top of my to do list.
God Bless All Of You Suzi
