To compete well in tournaments, one needs technical skills. Monthly tactical
themes will give the students enough repetition to have a solid technical
base in all strokes. This program is designed for students who have just
started their first tournaments, or are about to start.
Program Highlights:
- 4:1 player to coach ratio
- Tennis specific coordination development in the warm-up
- Competitive week at the end of each macro cycle
- Dean Coburn as Head Coach
- Private lessons available (additional charge)
A future tennis star needs a good athletic base. Coordination, agility, and
reception skill training will make up a large part of the lesson. Student
will also learn to cooperate with each other in order to maximize repetition
of skills. *Scholarships will be available for students through our public
school cooperative lessons (e.g. Derrydown P.S.)

1st Serve Program
This program is essentially the same as the Grow-The-Game Program except that it is tailored for the 5 - 8 year old age group.
School Visits
The winter of 2003/2004 saw Players Edge embark on a new mission, to go out
and seek talent in the public school system. A cooperative agreement with
Derrydown Public School was initiated, and is still running strong. Five
Scholarships were given for our summer camps, and the same will happen this
summer. We would like to expand this program in the fall, and work with
another school in the Jane-Finch area.

Saturday:9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, 10:30AM - 12:00PM (Grow-The-Game)
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, 10:00 AM - 11:00AM; 11:00AM - 12:00PM (1st Serve)
