Players Edge Tennis

Players Edge Tennis will be offering 9 weeks of summer camps at York University�s National Tennis Centre. The camps are geared to players from the Beginner level, through to the high performance level of play.

Playing Level Description:

Beginners:

0 or 2 years of tennis experience

Intermediates

1 - 4 years of tennis experience

High Performance

4+ years of tennis experience, exposed to tournaments and league play

Beginner/Intermediate Level

Sound mechanics are taught in a structured, but fun atmosphere. A solid foundation is important for a good future in tennis. Ages 6 -13 is the norm, however there are older players also in some classes. Court groupings are done according to playing level generally, but age is also taken into consideration. The maximum student/coach ratio for beginners is 6:1 and 4:1 for intermediates. Full day and half-day programs will be offered. The full day program runs from 9AM to 3PM and is comprised of 4 hours of on court tennis instruction, 1 hour of fitness instruction and 1 hour lunch break. The half-day program will run from 9AM to 12PM and also includes 1 hour of fitness instruction with optional attendence for lunch from 12:00PM - 1:OOPM.

Beginners Program - 6:1 Student/Coach Ratio

1/2 Day Program (9:00AM - 12:00PM): $190.00/One Week
Full Day Program (9:00AM - 3:00PM):$270.00/One Week

* For 4 weeks or more, subtract 5% from the total price

Intermediate Program - 4:1 Student/Coach Ratio

1/2 Day Program (9:00AM - 12:00PM): $245.00/One Week
Full Day Program (9:00AM - 3:00PM):$350.00/One Week

* For 4 weeks or more, subtract 5% from the total price

Note: August 6th is a holiday. Subtract 1/5th of the weekly price for the respective program for that week.

The National Tennis Centre located near the south - west intersection of Keele St. and Steeles Ave, in the York University Campus.

High Performance Level

Here we start to take on a serious tone, prioritizing hard work and discipline while maintaining a fun atmosphere. Players in this program are very active in OTA tournaments. Solid mechanics, smart tactics, and world -class techniques for strokes and movement are brought to the athletes here. Courts are grouped according to playing level. The maximum student/coach ratio is 4:1.
