... EVERYDAY!
"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.
Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.
When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.
When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped.
The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans.
I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American Planes? Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon -! not once, but several times - and safely home again.
You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at.Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded.They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.
When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.
I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name name even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.
Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."

All that we have and are is a result of Your amazing generosity.
Since September 11th, in the battle against
Terrorism, we have discovered again that
You truly are
Our Refuge And Our Strength,
An Ever-present Help In Trouble.
We solemly rededicate ourselves to be
One Nation Under You.
In You We Trust.
We reaffirm our Accountability to You,
To the absolutes of Your Commandments,
And to Justice in our Society.
Bless our President, Congress, and all our Leaders
With supernatural power.
We commit ourselves to be faithful to You
As Sovereign of our Land
And as our personal Lord and Savior.

How many of us have heard that question when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked, and the airplane went down in Pennsylvania?
Well, I know where MY God was the morning of September 11, 2001, and He was very, very busy!
For starters ... my God was trying to discourage anyone from taking these flights. Those four flights together could have held over 1000 passengers, and there were only 266 souls on board.
And He was on four commercial flights giving terrified passengers the ability to stay calm. Not one of the family members who were called by a loved one on one of the high-jacked planes said that passengers were screaming in the background. On one of the flights He was even giving strength to passengers as they tried to overtake the highjackers.
And He was real busy trying to create obstacles for employees at the World Trade Center. After all, only around 20,000 were at the towers when the first jet hit. Since the buildings normally would have held over 50,000 workers by that time of day, this was a Miracle in itself. How many of the people employed at the World Trade Center told the media that they were late for work or they had, had more than the usual traffic delays?
Then too, He was holding up two - 110 story buildings so that two thirds of the workers could get out. I was so amazed that the top of the towers didn't topple when the jets first impacted. And when they did fall, they fell inward.
My God didn't allow them to topple over, as so many more lives would have been lost.
And when the buildings did go down, my God picked up almost 6,000 of His children and carried them home with Him. Reassuring His frightened children that the worst was over, and the best was yet to come.
Then He sat down and cried that nineteen of His beloved children could have so much hatred in their hearts for their brothers and sisters.
And then He sent His children that are best trained for this sort of disaster, and had them save the few that were still alive, but unable to help themselves.
And then He sent many others to help in anyway they were needed.
And He still isn't finished, as He still holds the love ones that were left behind in His arms. And He comforts every single one of them daily.
His other children are given the strength to reach out to them and help them in any way they can.
And I believe He will continue to help us in the days and weeks and months with what is to come.
He will also give the people in charge of our great nation the strength and the wisdom to do the right thing.
My God would never leave His children ever, but especially in this time of need.
So when anyone asks you just where was YOUR God on September 11?" you can tell them "everywhere He was needed."
And I do mean ... everywhere!
