OES Principals Report:
The report cards for 3rd and 4th graders will have minor
revisions. The report cards will be sent home November 18th.
Fire Prevention Week was a success!
Heritage Night was a huge success! A 5th grade team put on an immigration
play and over 250 parents and children attended. Food from different cultures
was also served.
** Any new/original ideas for the “Summer Reading Program” for the principals
would be greatly appreciated!
Mrs. MacNamara reported 3 assemblies scheduled:
11/06/03 Quiet Riots – related to the anti-bully program.
01/12/04 Multi Cultural Chinese Acrobat Show.
02/10/04 Early American Folklore story telling by Bill Wood.
OES Teachers Report:
“ Time For Kids” is being received by 4th graders.
5th grade will be ordering “ Scholastic News” ( 3 sets).
OPLC Principals Report:
1st Grade had a great time going to “ Disney on Ice”.
2nd grade went to Camden Aquarium.
OPLC will be having a Halloween Party/Parade. Kindergarten excluded due to
time issues.
The Summer Reading Recognition Program was a success. The kids enjoyed throwing
pies in the principal’s face.
The Back to school breakfast was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by all who
attended!
Family programs: 11/15/03 was Roller Skating at the Caln Roller Rink.
Parent Programs: We are looking into the following programs: ADD, CPR , A
pre-test and post test result session.
Teachers in both schools have received funds for new playground equiptment.
Kim Bond was present and spoke of the “ Art Goes To School” program and showed
some of the art work which has been donated to the school.
Kids Stuff Books have been handed out- the fundraiser ran from 10/20 to 11/4
A date for the Elves Workshop will be set up at the next meeting PTO meeting.
Mary Wishneski reported the proposed budget.
