MOUNTAIN HORSE PARTNERSHIPS
- BEN of MHA, KMSHA, & LUCKY, KMSHA, Bob Clegg, Canton, PA.... I wanted a calmer, smoothier trail horse, I like him, and he is fine. Lucky, the colt is now under saddle. Unbelieveably easy to train, and rides wonderful.
- SEXY SOCKS, KMSHA, Laurette Graham, Eastchester, NY.... I wanted a friend for the rest of my life. I almost didn't try him, but I love him and he is doing great.
- SHINING STAR, KMSHA, Rita Carpentar, Hawthorne, NY....She is great. Goes out by herself, very good on trails, and well behaved. I love her.
- STORMY - KMSHA & LACEY- MPHA & LIBBY - MPHA, RMHA - Kathy and Randy Delp of RocKaRan Farms in Quakertown, PA. Has bred and promoted Mountain horses since purchasing their first horses 3 years ago. Tim and Heide make you feel so special. Happy Trails to all, like us.
- JULIE, MPHA, Charlene Howell, Yonkers, NY.... We are getting along. She rides on trail beautifully. We are bonding.
- ELIZABETH of MHA - KMSHA. and ROSEBUD of MHA - KMSHA. Deb Knecht, Mainesburg, PA I bought a 9 year old Kentucky Mountain mare from Mountain Horse Acres. She is wonderful. She gaites naturally, sometimes a little more than I want her to, but she is learning that she doesn't have to gaite all the time. She has energy, but she is controlable and I don't worry about her doing anything stupid on a trail ride. Heide and Tim Curren have a great place and are good people. I started taking my horse over to their place so I can ride with them. They have nice trails and I feel safe riding with them. They are very responsible horse people, which I'm learning is a rare quality. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good tempered, safe and sound horse. I have since purchased a second horse, expexting to do endurance riding/competitive trail riding in the near future. I love her, too. I got her from the Currens. dknecht@starband.net.
- MIDNIGHT - KMSHA. Vince Hatton, Corning, NY. Working out very well, and wants to cart train him now.
- SMOKIN' JOE - KMSHA. Sharon Alberts, Morris, PA. says, what's nice is you can canter him, and bring him right back to his gait. I'm glad he's with me.
- JUNE - KMSHA, Sue Rocker, Port Leyden, NY... I wanted to see how she would do going over a steel deck bridge, that you can look down and see the river. She did great, with her shoes clanging and all kinds of noise going over the bridge. What an awesome mare.. ...
- SASSY - KMSHA, In loving memory of Janet Watkins, Sayre, PA. When she first laid eyes on her mare 3 months ago, she fell in love with her. She was laughing loud as she gaited up the hill faster than the rest, and said, she would see them back at the barn. Janet purchased Sassy, but has now lost her battle with cancer. She said, Sassy knew she was very sick.
- CHANCE and MISS LOU - RMHA and KMSHA . Deb Nanni, Stockton, NJ. We purchased our first untrained horse from Heide and Tim. Not sure what to expect, we asked a lot of questions. The Currens patiently answered them, and reassured us we would be fine. That was almost a year ago. Our gelding, Chance, is ready to go under saddle now, and he is part of our family. We loved the experience so much, we purchased our second Mountain horse from the Currens, and are expecting our first foal in 2004.
- JADE - KMSHA. Bob Schmitt, Caton, NY, I love riding her, and her baby, Toula, is now 500 pounds at 6 months.
- BELLA - RMHA. Sue Blair, Coudersport, PA. She is awesome for a 3 year old. Does everything I ask.
- COCOA - RMHA. Dottie Alackness, Coudersport, PA. She is super. Everyone looks at her as they go buy. She loves her bath time.
- ASHES - MPHA. Paula Vogt, Port Matilda, PA. We are doing just great. Adjusting to each other.
- DOVE - RMHA. Ron Reinmiller, Landisville, PA. She is beautiful, and such a good trail horse.
- DOLLY ANNE - MPHA. Cheryl Combs, Pine City, NY. She is wonderful for everyone to ride, even the kids.
- MARVIN'S ROCKY - KMSHA. Marvin Goldner, Pleasantville, NY. He is doing very well, and well behaved.
- KP DUTY - RMHA. Carol Reinmiller, Landisville, PA. I bought KP before my husband, Ron, did. He had to choose another horse, Dove.
- DAKOTA - KMSHA. DONATED to Rainbow Riders, Troy, PA. His conformation was not suitable for an everyday sale, so he found a home with handicap riders. Dakota is 6 years old, and being loved to death. They say he is awesome, and they have ridden him in Districts competition.
- SUNNY - Spotted KMSHA. Barb Dubois, Sodus, NY.... Sunny and I have been conditioning for the ECTRA Competive 25 Mile Trail Ride. We took 3rd place out of 20 in our division. He's really an awesome horse and is making quite a statement for gaited horses up here in NY.
- FANCY LADY - KMSHA. Cheryl Combs, Pine City, NY. She is a very energetic, well gaited, racking mare, perfect for my son, Pat. Fancy is a jewel to handle, and an exceptional mother. Mt Horse Acres is a very clean, equine loving, customer friendly facility. I love going there.
