  • For dry, chapped hands, make a strong spearmint leaves tea.
    Rinse hands in cooled tea to help heal.

  • To make fresh cut flowers last longer, combine 8 ounces of water with
    eight ounces of regular ginger ale or 7up (NOT diet - the sugar provides energy)
    and 1/2 teaspoon bleach (controls bacteria).

  • To raise onions for winter storage raise grow them from seeds;
    for summer eating grow them from sets/

  • If you write on wooden plant markers with pencil instead of permanent marker
    (or anything else), they will last much longer!
