Its held on by 4 screws that go into the G36's exisiting mounting points for extra side rails and is very solid. It about doubles the weight as its made from aluminium.

You can even use the existing top sights through the tube. I Will be doing a more extensive version but that one will be a permanent conversion so I can get it more accurate as I dont have to worry about it going back to a stock G36 at the end. "
