Professor Suguru Akutsu was born in Japan. He graduated from Keio University in 1962, majoring in Comparative Literature. Later, he received his Master of Arts degree from Washington University, St. Louis and his doctorate degree from Arizona State University. He has been an Associate Professor in Japanese since 1980 at Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. He is a member of several professional organization and has dedicated his life to the advancement of foreign language studies, striving to improve education in the international field.
