The North Texas Crunch joined the SIFL as a replacement to the league's traveling Florida Kings. The team lost three games, being outscored 182-21. The team was scheduled to play a fourth game, but was unable to travel to Houma. The Lafayette Bayou Bulls replaced them. The team returned for 2010 to fill dates left by a failed Houston franchise. The two losses came to Louisiana and Lafayette by scores of 88-6 and 81-17.
