Juan Joseph and Bo Bartik quarterbacked the team, combining to throw for 48 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Clyde Edwards caught 76 balls for 978 yards and 22 touchdowns. The team averaged 52 points per game, but this number was skewed due to an 81-17 and 90-19 wins over North Texas and Greenville. The team earned the third playoff seed and played at Columbus. Columbus defeated the Wildcatters twice in the regular season by scores of 54-26 and 58-55. The Wildcatters were again defeated in Georgia, 61-26 to end their season.
